I find it interesting that Invisible Children chooses to focus on Uganda as the centerpiece of their “Central African” conflict scheme when 6 million people have been killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo under similar and probably worse circumstances. The conflict in the Central African region is SO much more complicated than this whole Kony marketing gimmick and should not be reduced as such.

Oh yeah…lets about the LRA and Uganda. Lets forget about the fact that 6 MILLION people in the Democratic Republic of Congo have died.

Let’s neglect the fact that the powers that be are keeping these people (like Kony) in authority in order to obtain valuable resources.

OH YEAH and PLEASE let’s REDUCE this large-scale, dragged on, ignored-on-purpose conflict into a 20-minute marketing ploy! LET’S DO THAT.

Yes, Kony must be stopped but let me tell ya getting rid of him changes absolutely NOTHING. From Kampala to Kinshasa to Kigali.

Bottom Line: That #STOPKONY2012 shit is wack and watered down and I ain’t supporting it worth a dime.

Thanks,

Management
